Agricultural Lean-to - Exmoor
CLIENT BACKGROUND
Paul Sawatzki & son Agricultural Contractors ARE a family run business covering the south west OFFERING all agricultural contracting needs.
They have a huge variety of machines & implements from rollers to combines. IT IS WITH THIS CONTINUED EXPANSION OF SUCH EQUIPMENT THAT THEY REQUIRED OUR SERVICES TO HELP EXTEND Their EXISTING BUILDING.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
This was one of the first projects at Paul Sawatzki & Son Contractors for HTSteel. For this project HTSteel were called upon to fabricate & construct a steel frame lean-to for housing machinery & implements.
We worked closely with the customer all the way through this project starting with the design stage. The client wanted to reuse the cladding on the existing building on the new lean-to. We incorporated this into the design adding channels for the sleepers to locate, added bolt holes in the columns to receive the top cleats. This was all done in the workshop making the install of the cladding hassle free for Paul Sawatzki & Son to install the cladding themselves.
This wasn’t the only challenge we had to overcome on this project. The previous contractor who supplied the original building had already put the holes in the columns for a lean to. The new lean to was designed around the existing holes making no room for error from site survey to laying footings correctly making everything line up correctly.
All of the lean-to project was completed successfully without any mistakes. The client was satisfied with the quality and time taken to complete the work.
