Agricultural Steel Frame Building - Exmoor
CLIENT BACKGROUND
D J Maddock & Sons of Monkham Farm are a 3rd generation farming family raised in the heart of Exmoor. The farm is mainly stock (cattle & sheep) with a bit of arable.
The continued growth of the farm required the addition of this new steel frame building.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
This was one of the first projects at D J Maddock & Sons for HTSteel. Monkham Farm has grown over the Maddock generation with several buildings to house stock & machinery. For this project HTSteel was required to fabricate & construct a steel frame Building 120 x 60 x 12ft.
The Buildings main use will be to house their stock of cattle & sheep. We have worked closely with the customer all the way through this project. The client wanted to pour concrete walls using shuttering both sides of the columns themselves over the winter period using a tractor pan mixer.
This wasn’t the only challenge we had to overcome on this project. Battling with the weather late autumn we had a deadline to meet to house the cattle over the winter period. All of the building project was completed successfully without any mistakes. The client were extremely satisfied with the quality and winter deadline completion.
